WHAT IS FLOWGRADE COLLAGEN PROTEIN?

Flowgrade Collagen Protein is a rapidly available source of protein and energy consisting of 100% pure bovine protein hydrolysate for the condition of muscles, skin, hair, nails, cartilage, ligaments and bones. Flowgrade Collagen Protein, unlike whey protein (Whey Protein), consists of three short polypeptide chains. The human body can easily and quickly absorb and process them. Therefore, the protein is an ideal source for replenishing protein stores, especially for athletes.

WHAT ARE THE FUNCTIONS OF COLLAGEN IN THE BODY?

There are at least 16 types of collagen. The four main types, I, II, III and IV, are found in the skin, muscles, bones, hair, nails, cartilage and tendons. Here's a closer look at the four main types of collagen and their role in your body:

  • Type I: This type makes up 90% of the collagen in the body and consists of densely packed fibers. It provides the structure of skin, bones, tendons, fibrocartilage, connective tissue and teeth.
  • Type II: This type consists of more loosely packed fibers and is found in the elastic cartilage that surrounds the joints.
  • Type III: This type supports the structure of muscles, organs and arteries.
  • Type IV: This type helps with filtration and is found in the layers of the skin.

Flowgrade Collagen Protein consists primarily of Type I and Types II and III.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF TAKING COLLAGEN PROTEIN?

Collagen refers to a family of proteins that are the predominant protein in our entire body, accounting for 30% of the total. They are found in our skin, bones, cartilage, tendons and ligaments. But not only that, collagen is also an important component of the extracellular matrix. This transport network runs throughout the body, transporting substances and communicating with cells. The connective tissue, for example, is also part of the extracellular matrix. A daily supply of collagen protein has been associated in studies with a firmer skin appearance, higher back health and improved cartilage tissue.

Here is an overview of some interesting studies. Note: The results of these studies do not mean that you will experience the same effects. The results should only be considered in the context of the specific studies.

With Flowgrade Collagen Protein you can also help your body balance the ratio of amino acids. A balanced ratio of amino acids is an ideal environment for intestinal bacteria to convert collagen into butyric acid.

HOW IS PROTEIN MADE?

The collagen hydrolysate for Flowgrade Collagen Protein is extracted from the skin as well as bones, tendons and ligaments of healthy cattle from certified grass-fed farms and pre-treated with the help of enzymes. The collagen is then specially processed and hydrolyzed to be absorbed by the human body as easily as possible. You can view the grass-fed certificate here. The Flowgrade Collagen Protein comes without additives and is of course produced completely GMO-free.

HOW CAN I USE FLOWGRADE COLLAGEN?

You can easily add Flowgrade Collagen Protein with its good solubility to your drinks or meals. Collagen is more tolerable than other proteins and has (almost) no side effects - in very rare cases heartburn is reported.

Here's how to take your daily dose of collagen protein: Mix a heaping tablespoon (about 10g) into 100ml of cold or warm liquid such as a shake. The protein is highly soluble and heat stable, so you can also add it to your Bulletproof Coffee. It is best to take the protein in the evening, because the short, hydrolyzed protein peptides are easy to digest.

DOES FLOWGRADE COLLAGEN CONTAIN HISTAMINE?

The raw materials are processed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 and stored in such a way that fermentation processes by microorganisms are not possible. Gelatin including collagen hydrolysate consists of such low moisture that bacterial activities are not detectable. When properly stored, the product remains stable in their microbiological, physical and chemical properties. Based on the above information, the presence of biogenic amines is very unlikely.

NOTES

Attention allergy sufferers: The collagen may contain traces of barley, cashews and almonds due to the production process. Flowgrade Collagen Protein is lactose-free!

Storage: Since the collagen powder is sensitive to temperature differences and humidity, it is best to store your collagen pack always well closed in a dry place at room temperature.
